Blog edited. I seemed to have missed stuff that was "important." In pink since that's Scully's favorite color and she wanted it edited.
Ryan, Lucie, Keith, Mac, Agent Scully, and I went to West Loch Golf Course to... play golf o.O It was Scully's first time on a course and Lucie's fourth time. I thought both of them played pretty well considering they've only been playing for a short time.
As everyone must know, I owe Scully a lot of Starbucks (see stats), so I picked up Starbucks before heading to the course. A venti vanilla coffee frapaccino for Scully and a venti soy latte for me. When it was time to load up the cart, Scully had gone to the restroom and being the nice guy that I am I carried her bag to our cart. I had her bag in one hand, my bag on my shoulder, my panda head cover held between my arm and my chest, and my latte in the other hand. When I got to the cart the first thing I did was place my latte into the basket so I could load up the bags. So the bags are loaded onto the cart and off we went to the first tee.
We were on deck so we pulled over by the practice putting/chipping green. When I went to grab my clubs to practice chipping I noticed that my latte had fallen over and spilled all over the back of our cart... in the direction of Scully's brand new bag. Apparently I forgot about my latte and left it in the basket when we headed off to the tee. I unstrapped her bag to get it out of the coffee. It had only gotten on the bottom so I put her bag back on the cart.
After the guys infront of us drove off to hit their second shots, we drove over to the tee. BANG! We turn around and Scully's bag is lying in the grass. Oops, I guess I didn't strap her bag back on when I put it back on the cart. My bad!! For the rest of the day, Scully kept complaining about her bag being dirty lol. I know she doesn't believe me, but I really am sorry for spilling coffee on her bag and then dropping it in the dirt :)
Scully made a real par! I don't think I parred a hole the first time I played. She hit a nice, solid iron onto the green on a 140yd par 3 and 2 putted for par. I made bogey on the hole =\ Fuck you bitch!
Scully hit the ball pretty good the whole day, she has a tendency to push the ball to the right, but she hits it solid, sounds like off the center of the club face. She hits the ball far. From the women's tee she could keep up with Ryan and Mac off the tee. On the 18th hole, her tee shot left her only 80 yds from the green! If I swung hard enough to pop a testicle I think I may be able to get it that far, but she did it with a nice, controlled swing. Her putting sucks... and that's being really nice =P Her putting is so bad, she makes Keith look like Ben Crenshaw. I thought pool players were supposed to be good putters heh.
Agent Scully has anger management issues like Mac. She said she would have thrown her clubs if they weren't brand new. So instead of throwing her clubs, she hops up and down on the greens. Like an epileptic having a seizure while throwing a tantrum. For the WoW geeks, think Princess Theradras in Maraudon.
Lucie has a really short swing. Barely to 9 o'clock short. I think I have a bigger backswing on my half swings and punch under the tree shots then her full swing. I asked Ryan about it and he said he told her to change to that swing THAT DAY! He said that her swing was too long and she was losing control of the club so he told her to swing like that. I dunno, but if that were me I'd be really fucked up. There's no way I could go from a long backswing to one that barely goes halfway back and still keep the correct timing. She played good for someone just starting too.
Sidenote: chatting with Tania so I may forget what I was gonna write.
So on the 14th hole, a dogleg left par 5, Scully hits it into the right rough. From there she hits this really nasty looking push slice with her fairway wood that lands on the 16th green. In between the 4 guys standing around the hole as they're putting. I think she almost made double eagle =D I think I heard a "Holy shit!" and a "What the fuck!" We yell sorry and drive over by their green. Dunno why I yelled sorry, I didn't hit that fugly shot! I tell her to go grab her ball. If I went they might kick my ass, but they won't beat up a girl. She jumps out of the cart and runs to her ball, but she runs like a girl soccer player. You know with the little T-Rex arms flayed out to the side. When she gets back to the cart, she said she's not playing anymore and blaming me that I "set her up" because Lucie's played before and some other bullshit and more whining... I thought I was listening to Keith. She didn't finish that 14th hole, but played the rest of the holes.
As I said earlier, Lucie and Agent Scully played really well for only playing a couple months. It's really bullcrap that the women's tee is like 100 yards ahead of the men's tee on some holes. Women always say they want equal rights, hit from the men's tee then! Handicaps make it equal. =)
Keith played pretty good. He wound up shooting 101 because he dumped 2 balls in the water on 18 to take an 8. Nice one Keith! Strong finish! On the 18th tee, Kev hit a ball onto Ft. Weaver Road, luckily no cars were hit. He remained relatively calm the whole day, only throwing a club on the 16th hole. But the club flew like 60 yards, only 10 yards behind the ball. If it wasn't for the tree, Scully and I may have been hit by the flying club. Ryan played great as usual. It looks like he changed the way he addresses the ball, he's got a closed stance now, but he hit the ball good. I played ok. I was striking the ball fairly solidly most of the day, but it was curving more then I'm used to seeing. Apparently my handicap is going down 2 strokes because of that round, so instead of getting 2 strokes from Alan in our match play, we're playing even.
